Murugappa Rising Talent Sports Scholarship
High-performance scholarships for elite athletes, para athletes, and coaches, supported by AMM Foundation.
MRTSS is a high-performance development programme that supports elite and emerging athletes, Para Athletes, and coaches through holistic performance support — improving access to quality coaching, sports science, equipment, and competition exposure.
In FY 2025–26, the programme supported 15 beneficiaries across 5 sports and 5 states, including athletes, Para Athletes, and coaches, and delivered 156 interventions across physiotherapy, strength & conditioning, nutrition, and more.
These interventions contributed to 31 total medals, including 24 international, with several athletes now strong contenders for the Asian Games 2026, Asian Para Games 2026, and 2028 Paralympics.

Mantra Lokesh — Para Athletics
The story: Transitioning from high jump to blade running in the 100m category, limited access to specialised sprinting prosthetics held back his progress.
The GSF impact: MRTSS connected him with Ottobock and Paralympic champion Heinrich Popow to customise a running blade suited to his classification and needs.
The result: A stronger, more confident training base and a clearer pathway towards qualification for the Asian Para Games 2026.
